I am the new Career and Technology/ Skills for Life teacher at Union
Grove Middle School. As a professional with more than fifteen years in business administration, manager, trainer,
instructor, career counselor, youth counselor, and computer information systems specialist, I have chosen to become a certified
teacher in the public school to share my accumulated knowledge, experience, and wisdom. My
administrative, management, and interpersonal skills gained over the years has prepared me to contribute to pupils,
parents, peers, and community members.
My journey to teaching began as a volunteer teachers aide
in Europe. Bible Study and Sunday school classes continued my voyage along this
path. As a manager, I trained associates for more than nine years. As a professional Instructor, for Central Texas College, I taught business courses in keyboarding, English,
math, economics, government, history, business law, business administration, and office management. Among the computer courses was computer information systems on MS
Word, PowerPoint, Word Perfect, Excel, Access, Publisher, etc. in the Office Administration Department and American Preparatory
Institute.
I
instructed individuals in computer information systems in a Learning Center. These
courses include but are not limited to: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Internet,
E-mail and General Business. Also involved in the learning center operation is
direct-teach and tutoring on basic skills in math, grammar, etc. and administering pretest for college entrance exams and
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery/Armed Forces Classification Test.
It brings me great pleasure to serve
you and your students at Union Grove Middle School year 2005-2006. I will also
be conducting tutoring after school and sponsor the step dancing team.
